Al-Saknia Hands Over 587 Units in Sharq Sabah Al-Ahmad
On the second day of the preliminary handover process, the Public Authority for Housing, known as Al-Saknia, officially received 587 housing units in the Sharq Sabah Al-Ahmad project. The units were handed over by Firstgroup for Trade, the contractor responsible for carrying out the development, in a structured handover process supervised by the authority's inspection and engineering committee. The committee conducted a comprehensive tour of the project site to carefully review the overall progress of construction, verify the quality of the work carried out, and ensure that every unit fully meets the required residential and safety standards before the units are distributed to the final beneficiaries.
The Sharq Sabah Al-Ahmad project is considered one of the key residential developments currently being executed by the authority, and it reflects the ongoing efforts to provide high-quality housing solutions to eligible citizens across Kuwait. Each unit in the project has been designed to offer a comfortable and sustainable living experience, featuring spacious interiors, shared living areas, modern kitchens, and dedicated utility rooms that cater to the daily needs of residents. In addition, the project incorporates solar energy systems that are expected to cover around 20% of the total energy consumption across the development, which highlights the authority's strong commitment to environmental sustainability and the adoption of green building practices.
Hisham Rashdi, the project's supervising engineer, expressed his satisfaction with the progress made so far, noting that the development represents a fully integrated residential model that successfully balances modern architectural design with long-term environmental sustainability. He emphasized that the units were carefully built to meet the everyday needs of residents while ensuring the highest levels of safety, comfort, and durability across all living spaces. The successful handover of these 587 units is expected to bring significant positive impact to a large number of beneficiary families, and the authority is set to continue the handover process for the remaining units in the coming weeks.
